Avon is the worldwide leader in direct sales of cosmetics. Avon offers its cosmetics in 120 countries through almost 5.5 million independent cosmetic consultants. The Avon range includes brands such as Anew, Avon Solutions, Planet Spa, Skin-So-Soft, Avon Color and Color Trend. Avon Cosmetics has also operated on the Czech market since February 1991.
Avon in the Czech Republic
Avon Czech Republic was established in February 1991 and immediately began the gradual penetration of our cosmetics market. Just as its entry onto our market was gradual, Avon Czech Republic as a whole grew on the same basis. Until the summer of 1998 Avon belonged under the headquarters in Germany but is now independently managed together with several other countries such as Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. At the present time it is represented by 86,000 independent Avon Ladies and Avon Gentlemen serving 4.5 million customers. Avon Cosmetics is a member of ‘Asociace osobního prodeje’ (the Association of Direct Sellers).
Since the firm was established in 1886, Avon brand cosmetics have always been distributed through direct sales, offering women the opportunity to make occasional extra earnings. At the company's headquarters so-called Beauty Centers have been are set up where Avon Ladies can receive advice from cosmeticians and try out the products themselves directly on site. Definitely the most luxurious Beauty Center is to be found in New York in the Trump Tower, where you can find all possible cosmetic comforts that you can think of spread over four floors.
