The client is an IT company based in Prague, Czech Republic, specialising in Cloud and IT Solutions. Their aim is to relieve businesses of IT-related worries, allowing them to focus on their core operations. They operate on the Czech market for 20 years and have more than 280 satisfied customers who appreciate their quality services and proactive approach.

Your new role

We are looking for a senior colleague who will assist us with the technical maintenance of our customers in the data centre (1000+ servers). You will be working with the following technologies: Virtualisation (Proxmox/KVM), Kubernetes, Databases (MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis), Web Servers (Nginx), ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Monitoring (Zabbix), Automation (Ansible). You will perform an analysis of processes and user requirements, identification of needs and selection of suitable technologies, ensuring security and data protection, including backup solutions, designing technical solutions. Other tasks you would perform are hardware installation and commissioning, technical maintenance of computer systems and other computing equipment, monitoring and diagnostics of operating systems and computer networks, hypervisor and virtual environment management.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proficiency in Linux, meaning that you are proficient in Linux at the L3 level, including most of the mentioned technologies, and you enjoy working with it.
• Team collaboration and documentation. You can collaborate effectively in a team and maintain clear documentation; security is fundamental to you.
• Communication skills and capability to perform a consultancy role. You have excellent communication skills, can present effectively, and can take on the role of a consultant. During client meetings, you’ll be the right hand to the sales representative.
• Analytical skills, so you plan/design first and then execute.
• Basic technical English proficiency. If you have a grasp of basic technical English, it’s a significant advantage.
• Communication skills and motivation. You are communicative, lively, and motivated.
