About the role:

National Sales Manager is essential position aimed at designing and delivering key activities driving Czech & Slovak business lines. Reporting directly to Country Manager National Sales Manager is a command center for most of the business activities connected to sales strategy design, performance management, forecasting and market analysis. Ideal candidate will present him/herself as experience and natural people leader, with history of positive team influence comfortable with managing a team of 5 direct reports (3+2) . This unique scope of activities allows great personal and professional growth, visible exposure across entire CEE region and ability to cooperate with top management daily, thus one-of-a-kind opportunity for strengthening personal and professional brand of the candidate.

Scope of duties:

In the area business management:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, action plans and sales forecasts for the Czech and Slovak markets.
  2. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and potential areas for growth.
  3. Set sales targets and closely monitor the performance of the sales team.
  4. Develop tailored call cycle plan and S&T segmentation of HCPs.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, pharmacy and optic chains and other stakeholders in the ophthalmic field.

In the area of strategic management:

  1. Work in close collaboration with the Country Manager and the Commercial Operations Manager to ensure high Commercial Excellence, striving for continuous improvement.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and distribution channels to expand the company's market presence and reach.
  3. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns and product launches.
  4. Coordinate sales activities with marketing initiatives to ensure consistent message delivery.
  5. Manage the sales budget effectively to optimize resource allocation and achieve desired sales outcomes

In the area of people management:

  1. Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  2. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge.

Core requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or in a related field.
  • Proven track record of at least in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Previous experience in sales management (at least 2 years), including leading and motivating small sales team.
  • Previous ophthalmic market experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially in using Excel for data analysis, and in CRM software.
  • Fluency in English and local language.
  • Preferable location: Moravia
