About the role:
National Sales Manager is essential position aimed at designing and delivering key activities driving Czech & Slovak business lines. Reporting directly to Country Manager National Sales Manager is a command center for most of the business activities connected to sales strategy design, performance management, forecasting and market analysis. Ideal candidate will present him/herself as experience and natural people leader, with history of positive team influence comfortable with managing a team of 5 direct reports (3+2) . Scope of duties:
In the area business management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, action plans and sales forecasts for the Czech and Slovak markets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and potential areas for growth.
- Set sales targets and closely monitor the performance of the sales team.
- Develop tailored call cycle plan and S&T segmentation of HCPs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, pharmacy and optic chains and other stakeholders in the ophthalmic field.
In the area of strategic management:
- Work in close collaboration with the Country Manager and the Commercial Operations Manager to ensure high Commercial Excellence, striving for continuous improvement.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and distribution channels to expand the company's market presence and reach.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns and product launches.
- Coordinate sales activities with marketing initiatives to ensure consistent message delivery.
- Manage the sales budget effectively to optimize resource allocation and achieve desired sales outcomes
In the area of people management:
- Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge.
Core requirements:
- Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or in a related field.
- Proven track record of at least in pharmaceutical sales.
- Previous experience in sales management (at least 2 years), including leading and motivating small sales team.
- Previous ophthalmic market experience would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market and regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially in using Excel for data analysis, and in CRM software.
- Fluency in English and local language.
