Your new role

Production managers oversee coordination with suppliers to manufacture designs for clients. They support the project team by managing supplier production and supervising the assembly and packing of items to meet the required quality and deadline. We require our Production Manager to be highly technically proficient, organised, and detail-oriented to effectively operate and master our ERP system. He/she should also be an excellent communicator, planner, and team player who collaborates closely with our CAD engineers, production managers, account/roll-out managers, warehouse teams, logistics managers, installation teams, and the finance department.

Key responsibilities:

Production Management:
  • Manage all aspects of production with vendors, ensuring delivery timelines and maintaining project status.
  • Brief design/engineering teams and verify mechanical drawing details.
  • Prepare quotations and identify appropriate vendors for production.
  • Plan and track supplier production, setting priorities accordingly.
Supplier Management:
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all suppliers.
  • Liaise between different material suppliers for cross-production checks.
  • Provide ongoing training and operational supervision to production executives.
Item Development:
  • Manage the development process from design and engineering to final presentation.
Project Documentation:
  • Ensure quality and final checking of technical documentation, compliance with internal and client standards.
  • Utilise the ERP system to document all production-related information and technical documentation.
Communication:
  • Serve as the key contact for internal teams and suppliers on project status and details.
  • Provide clear, timely, and solution-oriented communication to suppliers and internal team members.
Quality Control (together with QC Dept.):
  • Ensure quality and on-time delivery of production articles.
  • Plan inspections at supplier facilities and on incoming components to the warehouse.
  • Ensure packaging standards reflect client needs.
  • Manage the financial control of PO assignments to the most efficient suppliers.
  • Ensure order costs align with approved expectations.
Claims Handling:
  • Manage claims of damaged or missing components.

Key Requirements:

Professional:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production, preferably in retail fixture fabrication or a related industry
  • Technical education (e.g., furniture, mechanical, civil engineering, architecture) is advantageous.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
  • Advanced knowledge of materials and production technologies in joinery, metalworks, plastics, printing, and glassworks
  • Strong supplier relationship management skills, including building and maintaining mutually beneficial supplier relationships and creating incentives for supplier excellence
  • Project management skills, including organisation, planning, time management, and multitasking
Personal:
  • Open, honest, and direct communication style
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under stress and time pressure
  • Excellent communication skills for personal and written interactions with suppliers, internal teams, and clients
  • Ability to multitask without losing focus and control
  • Perfectionist with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong drive for development and self-improvement
Other:
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency, with essential skills in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Familiarity with 3D design software, specifically Inventor or SOLIDWORKS
  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal, including technical English
  • Knowledge of another language is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's licence B and the ability to drive actively
